Choice items from the mineral and gem show

The mineral and gem show in Spruce Pine was a lot of fun. We only went to the admission-free outdoor version. These odd figurines (they seem like vaguely Asian madonnas to me) are allegedly carved from amber.


Here is a plate of stone bacon-on-toast cut from agate and quartz (I think that's what he said). The plate is plain old blue glass.
