Huh?


Our correspondent Tal Galton (who addressed his e-mail affectionately to the "weird photo guys") photographed this interesting pair of flags in Lee County, Virginia.

Actually, I wonder if it isn't a nod to ancestors who were Jewish and served in the Confederate Army? Such a thing was common, especially in Charleston, SC and other 'major' cities in the South during that time.

The NY Times had an extremely interesting article regarding a book on this lesser known facet of the Confederacy.
